Psychotherapeutic training

Medical education, diplomas, theses and first clinical year in Heidelberg, Germany. Specialization in Weinsberg DE, Psychiatrisches Landeskrankenhaus, Psychiatrische Universitätsklinik Zürich Forschungsdirektion (focus on research) und Sektor West (focus on social psychiatry).

The psychotherapeutic background is based on psychoanalysis with a strong emphasis on the Attachment Theory of John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth. Humanistic psychology – particularly Gestalt therapy and Transactional Analysis (TA) – are part of the therapeutic formation as well as different schools of family and couple therapy, including systemic, structural, psychoanalytic, and Gestalt approaches. Additional backgrounds are various more recent approaches of trauma therapy (EMDR, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and psychodynamic-integrative (PITT).

Important completions are trainings and profound experiences over years with methods of stabilization and self-sedation like the biofeedback of the autogenic training (AT) or the progressive muscle relaxation according to Jacobson as well as imaginative practices of those methods in a higher level of AT or KIP, a European development of an imaginative psychotherapy. Individual elements of those methods are also contained in different forms of trauma therapy and represent connective links for methodological integration (MIPP).
